A cookie is a small data file stored on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit a website. A cookie is not a program and cannot contain harmful software or viruses.

Local Storage is a similar technology in your browser. It works like cookies, but the data does not expire automatically, it is kept until you delete it yourself.

solarsim.dk sets no cookies. We store only one thing on your device: your own consent choice (in the browser’s Local Storage), so we can remember what you chose. Fonts and content are served from our own platform, and we use no marketing technologies.

Statistics are only loaded once you have accepted in the cookie banner.

We use the analytics tool Umami to understand how the website is used. Umami is built for privacy: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and collects only anonymised, aggregated statistics, e.g. page views, browser type and approximate geographic location.

The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Provider: Umami (Umami Cloud), data is processed in the EU.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time: click Cookie settings at the bottom of the page, or use the button at the top of this page, and the banner will appear again. Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we ask again. Changes take effect immediately.

This cookie policy applies to solarsim.dk. Our calculation tool at kommune.solarsim.dk handles cookies and consent separately, directly in the tool, and the processing is described in our privacy policy.

Although solarsim.dk stores nothing on your device, you can always delete cookies and Local Storage via your browser settings. On most PC browsers: CTRL + SHIFT + Delete. On Mac: CMD + SHIFT + Delete. If you use several browsers, delete in all of them.
